The UnibongO team
The core of UnibongO is a team of professional percussionists and dancers, European and African trainers who live in the Iberian Peninsula.
With broad cross-disciplinary knowledge and with a desire for constant change and improvement, we already boasts experience of hundreds of concerts and performances and over 200 sessions in the business world since the year 2000, in England and 12 other countries.
Concerts and performances
We also organises percussion and dance workshops, events for schools, universities and specialist centres such as hospitals and prisons, and frequently participates in solidarity events.
We offers a musical journey of intense colour rooted in complex traditional popular and "Griot" music of Mali and Guinea.
The music relates tales of people, animals, nature and the sweet dreams of life in western Africa, land of profound emotions and ancestral energy...speaking the language of percussion, with jembes, dunduns, bells, shakers and the Peuhl flute, songs and dancing.
